The busy fall season is in full bloom home in Nashville, Tennessee…and an engagement session in the beautiful gardens of Mercer Arboretum felt like the perfect way to kick off a busy wedding weekend back in Texas! Sarah and Chris are such a special couple. They knew I was flying in to Texas for their close friends, Logan and Sarah’s wedding and they thought that this would be the perfect time for some engagement photos while they were in town. So Sarah called me up asking if there was any way I could squeeze them in before S + L’s celebrations began… saying I felt honored is an understatement! As soon as my plane landed in Houston, I rushed to the gardens in my rental car with all my gear in tow for their engagement session, and BOY did they turn out amazing!
Sarah and Chris met in high school and were homecoming dates sophomore year! Through some on and off years in college, they got back together and everything else was history. 4+ years later Chris popped the question at a romantic dinner home in Oklahoma. True highschool sweethearts <3
The two of them live in Oklahoma and they knew as soon as they received S & L’s invitations for their Texas wedding that they had to do their engagement photos there. Some of my FAVORITE sessions I have done have taken place at these botanical gardens and this session was no different! The weather was PERFECT, 80’s and sunny (which is pretty cool for a Texas Fall day if you know 😉 )– and we had such beautiful lighting all morning long. I have so many favorites of these two sweeties!
