Last year, Shelby aka the best Maid of Honor anyone could ever ask for, planned the most amazing Bachelorette weekend for me and all my best girl friends from throughout my whole life in the beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. All of the girls who made me who I am today in one way or another. While I was a big part of giving suggestions on things I always imagined we would do on my bachelorette trip, Shelby made sure everything was top of the line to my “standards” as she called them but also that it was a fun surprise for everyone.

I knew that getting a group of girls together who some knew each other but others knew no one at all, could lead to a 50/50 chance of being awkward or awesome.

Boy, did God bless me with the most amazing group of women who all loved and cherished each other as if we had all known each other for our entire lives.

We had such a blast in Charleston that everyone was so sad to leave each other, even though we would see each other again at my Tennessee wedding literally two weeks later. We all decided that each year we would plan a trip over the summer to get the girls back together after such an amazing week in South Carolina.

And while a lot of groups of girls who meet and spend a week together during a conference or summer camp situation always say that they will all see each other and make it a tradition, we all know that those meet ups rarely happen if they happen at all. I thought that might be the case here, but oh was I wrong. We hit January 1, 2022 and our group text exploded with texts of when we are going to start planning our annual trip for 2022.

And so the planning begins.
