Florida will always have my heart. Between the warm weather, palm trees, the beach, it honestly cannot be beat. Seaside, Florida is one of my top places I love to visit and travel to for photoshoots. You want to take a vacation there or want pictures done? Please, count me in!
This beautiful town is known for its pastel-colored beach houses, iconic whitewashed post office, and architect-designed walkways leading to the sugar-white sand beaches that surround it. Plus, it is perfectly located just a short drive away from some of Florida’s most popular attractions, such as 30A, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach and Destin. Definitely add Seaside, Florida to your bucket list for places to visit!
Now, let’s talk about things to do:
Popular Beaches: For a fun day in the sun, you must go to Seaside Beach, Grayton Beach State Park, Inlet Beach, Van Ness Butler Beach, Seagrove Beach, and Blue Mountain Beach. You will fall in love with the beautiful white sand and the turquoise blue water. Be sure to pack a good lunch and some drinks!
30A: One of the most iconic and beautiful places on Earth. This 24-mile stretch of highway lines the Gulf of Mexico. You will wind your way through quaint seaside towns and state parks, providing ample opportunity to shop and explore. 30A also leads you to those beaches I mentioned before, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach.
Seaside Amphitheater: This is Seaside’s outdoor venue that hosts multiple events, concerts, festivals, theatrical performances and even private events like weddings. It is right in the heart of Seaside so you surely won’t miss it when visiting. Be sure to check out the schedule for events just incase you need to pack a lawn chair or blanket!
Sundog Books: Who loves to read and sit on the beach? You have to check this little bookstore out, walk around, buy a book and then relax! Sundog Books has books for everyone. This cute little store will bring you so much happiness, even if you just stop in to check it out.
Seaside Farmer’s Market: We all enjoy a nice walk around a farmer’s market, so you must add this activity to your Saturday agenda (open 9:00am-1:00pm). It is located at the Seaside Amphitheater so walking distance to almost everything!
Food and Drinks:
Bud and Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant and Rooftop Bar: This is Seaside’s most popular places to eat. With the laid back atmosphere, stunning views of The Gulf and the food is amazing you can get, it is the perfect place to relax and have a drink after a full day of exploring.
Airstream Row: I know we all love a good food truck, and this row of airstreams has delivered the perfect menus to order from! They have everything from pizza, tacos, hotdogs, crepes and even barbecue. I definitely recommend going with an empty stomach so you can sample a little bit of everything.
Great Southern Cafe: This is your classic Southern Style cooking, but with a little modern spin to it. The building itself is so cute! Be sure to stop there at least once, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Scratch Biscuit Kitchen: This is a great breakfast place! All the biscuits are made from scratch and they have an original coffee blend of their own. The environment is a perfect place to go with your family.
There is so much to do and explore here in Seaside, Florida. These are just a few things I love and always want to recommend to my family and friends. Be sure to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the cute little shops and all of the yummy food while you’re here!
